just around the corner

The newest seasons of my favorite American shows are coming our way. And seriously, I'm sooo excited!!!

Grey's Anatomy: The latest buzz about this show is the newest addition to the cast, Lexie Grey (played by Chyler Leigh). Recent reports say she will be paired up eventually with Alex Karev and not with Derek "McDreamy" Shepherd (thank God!). As for the Gizzie tandem (George and Izzie), Shonda says it's history already. So what about Callie? Can her marriage with George still be saved? And George, how does it feel to repeat his internship while his friends are residents already? And Christina, can she move on after Burke's departure? And Miranda...isn't she jealous of the new Chief Resident? As for Chief Webber, could he still handle the pressures of Seattle Grace?

(I honestly miss Addison Montgomery. If her show Private Practice can't pull through, I hope Shonda brings her back to Grey's Anatomy.)

Season 4 starts on September 27th in the US. As for us Filipinos, we'll have to wait for about two weeks only (hear me: TWO WEEKS!). This is because Studio 23 has already signed early release of the shows with the abc network which is the home studio of GA, Desperate Housewives, Smallville, and others. I mean, how cool is that!!!

CSI: Up to this time, the show is still quiet. By quiet I mean there is no clear storyline on whether Sara Sidle (played by Jorja Fox) will still return for Season 8. The car crash ending of Season 7 was really a cliffhanger for the fans. I do hope they keep her not only because she has a huge fan base, but I believe she is a vital part of the show as well.

Ugly Betty: With the Bradford Meade and Wilhelmina Slater wedding, what more can we ask for? And who's playing a bridesmaid on the show? No less than Victoria (Posh Spice) Adams-Beckham.

Brothers and Sisters: This is my newest favorite. I have yet to finish the first season, but it surely makes me cry each episode. I can't wait to see this unconventional yet endearing family.

Kudos to:
Katherine Heigl (Isobel Stevens on Grey's Anatomy), Best Supporting Actress in a Drama
America Ferrera (Betty Suarez on Ugly Betty), Best Actress in a Comedy
Sally Field (Nora Walker in Brothers and Sisters), Best Actress in a Drama

...in the recently concluded Primetime Emmy Awards.
